Everything you have and are!
From Spurgeon's sermon, "The Two Talents"
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and comes down from the Father of lights."
All that men have, they must trace to the Great Fountain,
the giver of all good.
Have you talents? They were given you by the God of talents.
Have you time? have you wealth, influence, power?
Have you powers of tongue?
Have you powers of thought?
Are you a poet, statesman, or philosopher?
Whatever be your position, and whatever be your gifts,
remember that they are not yours,
but they are lent to you from on high.
All the honor for our ability and the use of it
must be given unto God, because he is the Giver.
Oh, that we were all wise to believe and to act upon
this most evident of all truths-- that everything we
have,
we have received from the Most High.
No man has anything of his own, except his sins!
