Did you but see your children
standing
on the edge of an awful precipice, and
know that none but God could prevent
their destruction, would you not cry
day and night to Him? What can be
compared to the eternal death that
awaits them, if they die unconverted?
Will you not pray, that your dear children
may escape from the wrath to come?
In proportion as you feel the infinite
value of their immortal souls, you shall
feel anxious for their salvation.
