An ever-present help in times of trouble!

"Man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward!" Job 5:7

"In this world you will have trouble!" John 16:33

Trials will thicken.
   Temptations will threaten.
      Afflictions will overwhelm.
         Death will draw near, and show its chilling form.

But still take comfort!

"For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you:
 Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for
 I Myself will help you, declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel!"
Isaiah 41:13-14

Thick blows may batter you, but they cannot beat you down.
In the deepest billows, He will hold you up.
The last wave will waft you safely to Canaan's shore!

Reader! There is no need in life, in death, in present or in future days
—for which your God is not an all-sufficient support!

Behold your God! He is . . .
  life for the dead,
  sight for the blind,
  feet for the lame,
  strength for the weak,
  joy for the sad,
  cleansing for the filthy,
  freedom for the bound,
  clothing for the naked,
  redemption for the captive!

He is a God within to cheer you.

   He is a God above to bless you.

      He is a God who came in flesh to die for you.

         He is a God who reigns in power to help you.

            He is a God who will come in glory to receive you!

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble!" Psalm 46:1
