The universal solvent!

The following is from Spurgeon's sermon,
"THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST"

The blood of Christ is precious, because of its
MELTING INFLUENCE on the human heart-- "They will
look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for
him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him
as for a firstborn son who has died." Zech. 12:10

the blood of Jesus is that.

There is no nature so stubborn that a sight of the love
of God in Christ Jesus cannot melt it, if grace shall
open the blind eye to see Christ.

The stone in the human heart shall melt away,
when it is plunged into a bath of blood divine.

If I only had a few words to speak and knew I must die, I would
say, "This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners."

The doctrine of SUBSTITUTION is the pith and marrow of the gospel.
